How it works
First, sit a timed mock.
The clock runs, the answer sheet fills, and negative marking counts the guesses.
Then see where the time went.
Every answer gets a speed badge, so you know which ones you knew and which ones cost you.
Finally, drill the mistakes.
Each one stays in the Error Vault until you answer it right three times running.

Common questions
Yes. Exams, questions, bookmarks, notes, attempts and your mistake notebook live in a database inside the app. Mock tests, flashcards and analytics need no connection. Only the optional AI importer and Google Drive backup use the internet.
No. There is no sign-up and no server. Open the app, create your first exam and start practising.
Type them in, photograph question paper pages, bulk import JSON, open a shared MockNerve pack, or use the AI importer with your own Gemini key to generate a syllabus and questions.
Every wrong answer is captured automatically. The vault drills you on those questions and retires each one after three correct answers in a row.
Yes. One tap saves your database, study files, streaks and progress to a private Google Drive folder, or to a .mocknerve or .json file you can restore anywhere.
Any exam built on multiple-choice questions: competitive, school or university. You create the exam, add topics and questions, and use the same timed simulator.
Backups stay in your Drive.
Signing in with Google is optional and used only for backup. MockNerve asks for three things, and nothing else:
- Your email address
- To show which Google account is connected.
- Your basic profile
- Your name and picture, shown next to the connected account.
- Its own hidden app folder in Drive
- Backups go straight from your phone to a private App Data folder. MockNerve cannot see any other file in your Drive.
Backups never pass through our servers, and you can disconnect at any time. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the details.
